We had another GREAT week at VBS this year!! We took our neighbor Brady along!! Nick and I both volunteered again... Nick and Jay led the kindergarteners and Kim and I led the 2nd graders!! We really enjoyed it!!
We went to visit our family in Keokuk in June! We even got to see Uncle Ray and Aunt Gloria from Texas!! We went to the Varner Family Reunion... which is always fun getting to see our extended family! :)
This time we stayed in a hotel in Keokuk and the boys got to swim too - - double the fun!! :) They LOVE LOVE LOVE getting to stay in hotels... and I do too because we dont have to clean up after ourselves!! ;)
The Waukee Police Department offers a program called Safety City to teach new kindergarteners about bullying, bus safety, drugs, stranger danger, and so on! It is an AMAZING program and we are so grateful to get to be a part of it! It's a week long program... and Owen LOVED it!! Parker did this too when he was entering kindergarten. :)
We met up with Alicia and Brenton and went to the parade in Grimes! The boys enjoyed themselves being silly and collecting candy while us adults enjoyed some good conversation! :)
We may be biased... but we are pretty sure that we have the BEST neighbors EVER!! :) The Grisham family lives across the street, and we may spend more time there than we do at home?? :) They have 2 boys, Brady and Hayden and our boys LOVE them... and their parents!! Here are some pictures of the boys (and Ashley) playing outside!!!
Owen LOVES to get to have playdates... and so do I!! :) My good friend Kim from church and her son Kyle come to see us most Mondays... and Owen and I LOVE the time we get to spend with them! :) Kim and I always have GREAT talks and the boys play and dress up!! :) SO THANKFUL for this time! :)
Our family started in May of 2001 when Nick and I were married! :) We have 3 little boys, Parker (10-1/2 years old), Owen (8 years old)and Drew (4 yrs old)! Our boys are FULL of energy (especially the 2 younger ones) and so is our dog Wrigley... but we wouldn't want it any other way!
Nick is an electrical programmer for a company in the D.M. area and I am so thankful to get to stay at home with my boys.
We LOVE getting to spend time with our family and friends! Life is entirely too short... and we VALUE EVERY minute with both!
